Marjorie graduated from North Adams State Teachers College in 1950 and began her 42 year career teaching elementary school. Marjorie was exceptionally friendly and outgoing, and enjoyed making friends everywhere she went. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone, and always kept teddy bears in her car, to give to anyone she saw, young or old, who appeared to need uplifting. She is survived by her loving and devoted family, son Michael Sweet , daughters Victoria Heffernan, Nancy Joiner and Beth Harriman, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews, and her best friend of nearly 70 years, Sylvia Berry.
