WESTFIELD—Marleen C. (Dowd) Jakoboski, 66 (1948 – 2014), a resident of this city for over 45 years, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Born in Springfield, Marleen was the daughter of the late Edmund and Rita (Champiney) Dowd, and was a graduate of Agawam High School.
Marleen worked as a service representative for several area insurance companies prior to her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed nothing more than traveling with family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Amie Appel and her husband Richard of Franklin, TN,Korrie Katsikis and her husband Nicholas of Norton, MA, two brothers and her four grandchildren, Sophia, Olivia, Michael, and Gabriel.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service for Marleen on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Southwick-Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02445.
