Westfield – Martin “Marty” Christian, 65, of Westfield, MA passed away peacefully on May 12th. Marty was the son of Jacqueline (Lamier) Dora and the late Alderic Christian. He was born in Springfield, MA. Martin attended Classical High School and was a retired military veteran of the U.S. Navy. He began his service during the Vietnam War. He later became a member 
of the American Legion and was proud to be elected as the current Commander of Post 124. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Janis Christian, his mother Jacqueline and is survived by his brothers; Patrick Bernat, 
John Christian, Donald Christian, Ralph Christian, David Christian and Samuel Christian. He leaves his sisters; Angel Bernat, Debra Becker, Kathleen Alpert, Lynda Sheldon, Donna Carpenter, and Barbara Spears. He was predeceased by his brothers Richard, Robert and Al Christian and sister Patricia Christian. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11AM on Friday, May 18th, where he will be interred with military honors at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Legion, Post 124.
