Westfield – Mary Ann C. (Nomakeo) Hastings, 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Baystate Noble Hospital. She was born in Westfield to the late Adam and Jennie (Pitoniak) Nomakeo and was a graduate of Westfield High School. Mary Ann worked as an assembler for Digital for 15 years before retiring. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, sewing and crocheting, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, William R. Hastings of Westfield, her children Francis A. Hastings and his wife Laura of South Hadley, Dawn M. Kring and her husband Melvin of Elizabethtown, KY and Bruce W. Hastings of Springfield, her brother Thomas Nomakeo and her cherished seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Scott W. Hastings and her sister Phyllis Nomakeo. Funeral service will be held for Mary Ann on Monday at 8:30 AM from the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Holy Trinity Church, Elm St. Westfield. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery 1390 Main St. Agawam. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5PM in the funeral home.
