ARARAT, PENNSYLVANIA: Mary Carole (McDonnell) Motsko age 83, (1938 – 2022) passed away on February 21, 2022 in Westfield, Massachusetts. She was born on August 13, 1938 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania daughter of the late Thomas and Nora Burns. She spent much of her life in the New Haven, Connecticut area, moving to Ararat, PA in 1987. She was a parishioner of St. James Church of St. Katharine Drexel of Pleasant Mount, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Motsko, Sr. in 2000 and her son Donald R. Motsko, Jr. in 2016.
She is survived by her son Thomas and his wife, Shelley Motsko of Southwick, MA, and her grandchildren Ellen and Jennifer Motsko. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 361 Great Bend Turnpike, Pleasant Mount, PA. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. The family will receive friends one half-hour prior to the funeral mass in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
