WESTFIELD – Mary Grainger (Abernethy) Parker, age 92, went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2017 at Westfield Gardens. She was born in Eastport, Maine on September 7, 1925 the daughter of Thomas J. Abernethy and Edna C. (Stoddard) Abernethy. Mary was a Westfield resident for 68 years. She was married to the late Robert H. Parker for 36 years. During that time she was production manager and worker at the Patricia Reach Corporation. She also worked several different jobs at Noble Hospital.
Mary was a Deaconess at her church for six years, Women’s Fellowship president for three years, and coordinated special luncheons for 325 people at her church for twelve years. Mary is survived by her daughter, Susan King, in Fairfield, Ohio, and her daughter, Mary-Elizabeth Yaksich, in Sharpsville, Pa. She has seven grandchildren, Sarah Homan, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Brett King, in Denver, Colorado, Chris King, in Fairfield, Ohio, Jennifer Lenhart, in Tampa, Fla, and Jon Lenhart, in Lutz, Fla., Sarah Cabral, in Westfield, and Nate Parker, in West Springfield. She also has ten great grandchildren.
