WESTFIELD – Maryellen E. Hinckley, 85, of Westfield, died August 31, 2012 in a local nursing home. She was born in Southwick on October 15, 1926 to Otto H. and Mary (Goddard) Elander.
Maryellen graduated from Southwick High School and worked for the Veterans Administration in Hartford, CT for forty years, retiring in 1984.
She was the widow of Roy A. Hinckley who died on January 15, 1973. Maryellen leaves a sister, Doris Elander of Westfield; a sister in law, Mary Elander of Killeen, Texas and many beloved nieces and nephews of whom she was very proud and bragged about.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, September 5th at 3:00 p.m. in New Cemetery in Southwick. Calling hours are omitted.
