WESTFIELD – Matthew A. Osienski , 29, of Fort Collins, CO formerly of Westfield died Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Westfield. Born in Holyoke, he lived in Westfield most of his life and was a 2001 graduate of Westfield High School and a 2008 graduate of UMass-Amherst.Matthew was employed as an accountant and was currently studying for his CPA certification at Colorado State University. Matthew enjoyed playing baseball in Westfield Little League. He also played for Babe Ruth and Legion teams as well as Westfield High School. Matthew loved the Patriots, Red Sox, and the music of the Grateful Dead. Matthew was always there for his friends and was deeply loved by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Rayann (Hunt) Osienski; two sisters, Tracy Larose of Westfield, and Kim Osienski of Davis, CA; his maternal grandmother, Lois Hunt of Elizabethtown, PA; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Hedy Osienski of West Springfield; his aunts and uncles, Hans Osienski of West Springfield, Steven and Linda Osienski of Bennington, NH, and Deborah Leonczyk of Westfield, and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A reception will be held at Tekoa Country Club Route 20, in Westfield on Friday at 12 noon. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery will be private.
