CHICOPEE, MA: Mava B. Steadwell, 77, passed away on April 1, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Chicopee, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wentworth NH on April 5, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (McEleavy) Marcou. Mava first lived in Westfield for many years before relocating to Clermont Florida for 30 years. She returned to MA in December. Mava was a beautiful person inside and out, who relished family time, cooking and animals of all kinds. As a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, she loved God and talking about Him with others. She retired from Walt Disney World but still enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the parks. Mava is survived by her children Robert Bard (Joyce), Dianna Bard, Vicki Carroll (Richard), Patti Iserman, Philip Bard, Jacquelyn Ziemba, Eileen Lavinio (Tony), Sherry Hodge (Kent), Jeremy Steadwell (Aida) and Jesse Steadwell; her siblings Mary Markowsky and Frank Marcou; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Robin Bard and her sister Louisa Woods. A funeral service was held on April 9th, followed by burial in Agawam Center Cemetery.
