Saint Mary girls’ lacrosse nets first win

The St. Mary’s High School girls’ lacrosse team is FIRST for a day.
St. Mary’s took its first step as a varsity program, winning for the first time this season, 9-8, over Holyoke Catholic yesterday at Stanley Park.
Lauren Chapdelaine (assist) and Taylor Marshall scored three goals apiece to help St. Mary’s etch out a small piece of school history. Sinead Smith, Christina Watson, and Marguerite Butler each had one goal.
Chapdelaine’s hat trick was no small feat as the goal also resulted in the game-winner in the final half-minute.
St. Mary’s goalie Karissa Foley finished with 18 saves, earning her first win in net for the Saints.
