WESTFIELD-Michael Alan “Bampa” Royland, 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Genesis HealthCare in Westfield, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born on January 25, 1952, in Westfield, MA. The youngest of eight, he was a son to the late Frank J. and Lillian M. (Janse) Royland. He was predeceased by four brothers Ed (Rollo), Frank (Sonny), John (Jack), and William (Bill) Royland and one sister Carol (Auntie) Kososki. He leaves behind his sister Karen Falcetti and brother Ralph Royland, both of Westfield. Mike also leaves his partner of 10 years, Lillian (Sullivan) Winn, of Westfield and her children Tammy, Jeffery, and Jennifer; his sons Michael, Paul, Alan, and Christopher Royland and 5 grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Mike enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing pool at his ‘home away from home’, “The City”. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. A graveside service to honor Mike’s life will be held on Thursday November 3, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery 203 Southampton Road in Westfield, MA.
