Michael J. Misterka, 69, died unexpectedly July 24, 2016; born in Edinburgh, Scotland to the late Adam and Adelaide (Lamb) Misterka.

Michael graduated from Westfield High School and served in the US Army from 1966-1969. He was a proud member and past commander of the American Legion Post 124. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Maria (Bolle) Misterka, his daughter Sandra and her husband Todd Gannon of Granville, his son David Misterka of Kissimmee, FL, four cherished grandchildren Corrin, Sarah, Madison, and Adam, his brother Marion, and sisters Anne Bekech and Barbara Fillion along with their spouses. Michael’s legacy will continue through his gift of tissue donation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 124 Past Commanders Scholarship Fund. Funeral will be private and the Robert E. Cusack Funeral Home has been entrusted with Michael’s funeral arrangements.
