WESTFIELD: Michael Leo Rickson, 78, passed away on January 25, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.
Michael was born on February 27, 1943, in Springfield, MA to Ernest Rickson and Dora Rickson (Duteau).
Michael graduated from Springfield Commerce High School.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army, completing a peacetime tour in Korea.
He worked for 20+ years at Hamilton Standard as a Punch Press Operator.
Michael will be remembered for his warm smile and sense of humor. He took great pride in his family and granddaughters. He enjoyed many friendships with his neighbors throughout the years. Michael was an animal lover who enjoyed his many family dogs and cats.
Michael is predeceased by his parents Ernest and Dora Rickson, his two brothers John and Ernest Rickson, his mother and father-in-law Perry Stearns, Jr. and Elizabeth Stearns.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Susan E. Rickson of Westfield, MA, his daughter Deborah Theobald and her husband Timothy of Lyman, ME, his son Robert Rickson of Westfield, MA his sisters-in-law’s Dianne Rickson and Cynthia Rickson; his two granddaughters Abigail and Emily Theobald of Lyman, ME.
