SOUTHWICK – Norma J. Baker, 94, devoted wife of the late Warren B. Baker passed away on June 6th, 2023.
Norma was born in Springfield MA and grew up in Vermont and later moved to Feeding Hills where she met and married her husband Warren shortly after the war in 1947.
Norma was a member of the Southwick Congregational church and a cub scout pack leader. She was a school bus driver for the Southwick school system for 20 years and the secretary for Renwood Lumber Co. in Southwick where she and Warren lived for 74 years.
Norma loved flowers and was often found tending her many perennial gardens. She appreciated nature and enjoyed sewing and crafts along with working hard helping her husband with the company business.
Norma leaves behind three children, Warren J. Baker, Jolene Baker and Robert Baker and his wife Audrey, six grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Hedges, and Chad (Katie) Hedges, Raena (Josh) Cennamo, Aaron (Yahaira) Baker, Julia and Wyatt Baker. Six great-grandchildren, Ashton, Taylor, Joshua (Zio), Stella, Saylor; Sunday.
Norma was much loved and will be sorely missed.
A private graveside service was held for both Norma and Warren at the Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations in their memory be made to : Southwick Congregational Church-UCC, PO Box 260, Southwick, MA 01077.
