A Patriot’s Day Ceremony will be hosted by the American Legion Whip City Memorial Post 454. The event will take place at Parker Memorial Park on Saturday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m. As part of the event, this year’s essay winners are from Paper Mill Elementary School. They are Savannah Shay, Ricardo Fontanez, Rebecca Monti, David Tikhonchuk. Sponsors of the contest are the American Legion Post 454, Commander Benjamin Surprise, and Mildred Lamb, in honor of her late husband and past Commander of Legion Post 454, Hugh Lamb. Everyone is invited to attend .
