WESTFIELD: Pauline M. Murphy, 82, (1939-2022) passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lowell, MA to the late Edward and Alice (Lantagne) Murphy and grew up in neighboring Chelmsford, MA.
Pauline worked as a realtor for over 10 years for Park Square Realty. She loved making Oriental Rugs and won a few blue ribbons at the Big E for her beautiful rugs. She was co-manager for the YMCA swim team for many years, where she touched numerous lives and made countless friends. She was known to her family as Sissy, whom she loved to spend time with and created very special memories.
She is survived by her four loving sons, Michael Rowbotham and his wife Linda, Gary Rowbotham, Christopher Rowbotham and partner Kimberly Osowski and Jason Rowbotham and his wife Elizabeth, all of Westfield. She was GrandMa Sis, Nannie and Nana to her cherished grandchildren, Bradley, and his wife Kristin, Jennafer, Julia, Matthew, Sean and Christopher and her great-grandson Finnegan.
Pauline was predeceased by her siblings, Edward Murphy, Betty Murphy, Billy Murphy and Francine Ullom.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 20th at 10:30 AM in St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett St., Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd., Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the Mass from 8:30-10AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA 01085.
