Westfield – Peter Noel Gennett, 74, died Friday, October 14, 2016 peacefully at home after a courageous three year battle with cancer. He was born in Pittsfield on December 25, 1941 to Louis J. and Marie R. (Verchot) Gennett. Peter was raised in Chicopee, and was a resident of West Springfield for many years before moving to The Villages, Florida. He leaves his wife of thirty-one years, Mildred F. (Trusty) Gennett, his son Michael J. Gennett and his companion Angela Fenwick, his daughter Pamela J. (Deming) Prior and his son James R. Deming and six grandchildren. Committal prayers with military honors will be Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours are omitted. The family would like to thank all the nurses involved in Peter’s ongoing care.
