WESTFIELD – Phyllis A. (O’Connor) Paige, 70, a fifteen year Westfield resident, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was born in Holyoke on November 14, 1942, a daughter of the late Phillip H. and Mary (Demersky) O’Connor.
She attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Sacred Heart High School, and received her Masters Degree from Cambridge College in Boston. Phyllis enjoyed a career of many years as an event planner for Stanhome and retired from the Holyoke Housing Authority.
She is survived by her son, Garrett Paige of Westfield; two daughters, Michelle Coffey of Westfield, and Danielle Paige of Springfield. She also leaves her brother, Terry O’Conner and his wife Lynda of Calgary, Alberta Canada and her sister, Madeline Bergeron and her husband Stanley of Florida; one nephew, David Bergeron and one niece, Mary O’Connor. She was an awesome, loving grandmother and will be sadly missed by granddaughter Andrea Coffey. Her passing also leaves a void for her dear companion Tom McKenna.
A period of visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, December 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Legacy Funeral Home, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield. A celebration of her life will take place at 10:30 a.m.
