6:21 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the operator’s license was found to have been suspended, Sabrina Georgantas, 33, of 8 Cycle St., was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license;
8:42 a.m.: harassment, Powder Mill Village, 126 Union St., a caller reports she is getting harassing calls from a known party, the responding officer reports the complainant said that she had received four phone calls and text messages from a woman who has been harassing her, the victim said that although the caller does not identify herself and the phone number used is different, the message of the communications is the same, the officer reports he advised the complainant to change her phone number;
8:51 a.m.: assist other police department, Southwick-Tolland Regional High School, Rebecca Lobo Way, Southwick, the K-9 officer reports he assisted Southwick police as area K-9 teams made a routine sweep of the high school to check for contraband;
11:21 a.m.: fraud, Cleveland Ave., a resident came to the station to complain that an online account has been compromised and fraudulently used, the responding officer reports the complainant said that he received a $4 item in the mail that he had not ordered and checked his online account to find that other items with a total value of more than $60 had been charged to his account, the man said that he has closed out the account;
1:07 p.m.: fraud, a representative of a construction company came to the station to complain that her company’s fleet credit card has been misused, the responding officer reports the complainant said that more than $4,000 has been fraudulently charged to the company’s fuel credit card, the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the Detective Bureau;
2:15 p.m.: fire, North Road, a detail officer reports a resident is burning something, the dispatcher reports she called the fire department and learned that outside burning was prohibited due to high winds, the responding officer reports he advised the resident to extinguish his fire and the homeowner complied.
