8:31 a.m.: Found property, Kensington Avenue. Police received a report of “30-plus signs,” including political and gas and electric, in the caller’s front yard. The caller took down the signs but requested that police come and take them. There were so many that the police required their pick-up truck to retrieve the property.
11:01 a.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a walk-in complaint from a victim who claimed that someone stole their fishing tackle box while down by the Westfield River. Police had no suspects at the time of the report.
7:08 p.m.: Automobile fire, West Road. Police received a report of a pick-up truck that had caught fire at a residence. The vehicle was about 20 feet away from property, including a shed and a barn, and nothing else caught fire. Westfield Fire came to the scene and put out the fire. No injuries were reported and police did not have an origin to the fire.
7:46 p.m.: Vandalism, Meadow Street. Police received a report of a teenager who allegedly threw a rock through a window of a residence. The teenager was seen on a bike riding away and police were given an additional description. However, there were no arrests made and police did not report finding the suspect.
