8:21 a.m.: Accident, South Maple Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle accident involving a 2011 Chevrolet Colorado and a 2014 Ford F350. Initially, there were no injuries reported but police arrived on scene and noticed airbag deployment and fluids leaking from a vehicle. Westfield Fire paramedics were requested and transported one person via ambulance to Baystate Medical Center. One vehicle was towed, as well.

10:46 a.m.: Fraud, walk-in. Police received a walk-in report of fraudulent activity that reportedly happened on a resident’s card. According to police, the card had about $1,000 worth of fraudulent activity on it around the state. Police are investigating.

4:09 p.m.: Burglary and breaking and entering, Western Avenue. Police received a report of a breaking and entering and burglary at a residence on Western Avenue. According to police, a door to the home was found kicked in around 2:45 p.m. and money and jewelry was missing from the home. Police were told by neighbors that they heard a bang around noon at the home and saw a suspicious black vehicle outside the home, but had no other information to report. Police are investigating.

7:10 p.m.: Trespassing and arrest, Southampton Road. Police received a report from Baystate Noble Hospital staff that Alvin Lewis, 75, of Westfield, had left the hospital and someone was reportedly bringing him back home. Police previously trespassed Lewis from the home after public health officials requested such due to unsafe conditions in home. Police found Lewis at the trespassed property and arrested and charged Lewis with trespassing.
