Emergency response and crime report

6:54 a.m.: officer wanted, Oakwood Terrace Apartments, 200 Southwick Road, a caller reports his daughter has been receiving threatening and alarming messages from a person he knows only by a first name, the responding officer reports the caller said that the man has sent inappropriate photos, made threats and has referenced a homicide/suicide situation, the victim was advised of her protective order options;
3:18 p.m.: larceny, Westfield High School, a resident came to the station to report her cellphone was stolen at school, the responding officer reports the girl said that she returned to the classroom where she knows she last had the phone but it was not found, the girl said that she used a locator application which indicated that the phone was at a Union Street apartment complex but it was not found there, the officer reports the application was employed later and indicated that the phone was at a different Union Street address where he spoke with only high school-aged person there who surrendered the stolen phone;
3:28 p.m.: Shaker Road, a detail officer reports that he observed a person pass him repeatedly with yard debris which he apparently was dumping in the woods, the officer reports that when he accosted the man he said “the sign says no littering, not dumping”, the man was advised that dumping is also prohibited;
5:02 p.m.: larceny, South Maple Street, a resident came to the station to report that his motorcycle has been stolen, the responding officer reports the victim said that the motorcycle was last seen in an unlocked shed on his property on Wednesday;
8:35 p.m.: vandalism, Morris Avenue, a caller reports something was thrown through her window, the responding officer reports the caller said that she was sitting on her couch when the window shattered, the officer reports no projectile was found;
9:26 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports stopping a vehicle which does not display a valid inspection sticker, the officer reports the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance and the operator’s license was suspended, Jeffrey Andrew Schindler, 23, of 110 Fairview St., Agawam, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license operating an unregistered motor vehicle and for operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker, the car was towed to the police impound yard.
