WESTFIELD
6:40 a.m.: assist other agency, Lockhouse Road, a caller reports that she lost power and believes a transformer blew nearby, dispatch reports that Westfield Gas and Electric was advised and that more calls began to come in from the same neighborhood, dispatch reports that the situation had been resolved;
11:07 a.m.: trespassing, Sergeant T.M. Dion Way, a caller from Westfield Barnes Regional Airport reports that there is a suspicious motor vehicle in the area next to the fences, the responding officer reports that an area search turned up negative;
6:11 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports that a male party stole motor vehicle supplies and walked out of the store, the responding officer reports that the male party was detained and trespassed from the property and the merchandise was recovered;
7:12 p.m.: weather complaint, Kensington Avenue, a caller reports that a tree fell down due to strong winds and took out some power lines, dispatch reports that Westfield Gas and Electric was notified and would respond, the responding officer reports that the pole was snapped in half and a chain link fence was crushed, dispatch reports that the Department of Public Works arrived on scene with Westfield Gas and Electric to fix the power lines and the fence;
9:49 p.m.: weather complaint, Allen Avenue, a caller reports that a tree fell on their house and caused a lot of damage with no injuries, the responding officer reports that Westfield Gas and Electric, the building inspector, and the Department of Public Works were requested, dispatch reports that service to the house was completely disconnected, the responding firefighters report that the area was coned off and utilities were disconnected until proper repairs can be made.
