Major crime and incident report

4:41 p.m.: burglary/breaking and entering, Smith Avenue, a caller reports that a female party broke into Westfield Technical Academy, the caller reports that the female party left the building when confronted, the responding officer reports that the female party was located and transported to Baystate Noble Hospital for possible injuries;

6:07 p.m.: shoplifting, Main Street, a caller from a Main Street grocery store reports that a male party appears to be filling bags with expensive items with the intent of walking out of the store with them without paying, dispatch reports that the caller requested police be at the entrance of the store when the male party left, the responding officer filed an incident report;

8:36 p.m.: Old Holyoke Road, a caller reports that a motor vehicle turned around in his driveway and struck and damaged a utility pole in the process while also damaging landscaping, the responding officer reports that there is some damage to the pole and that Westfield Gas & Electric would be notified;

9:10 p.m.: motor vehicle violations, Bartlett Street, a police detective reports that he pulled over a motor vehicle, the detective reports that Crystal L. Therrien, 42, of 42 Sycamore St., Westfield was placed under arrest on three outstanding warrants.



No major incidents were reported in Southwick on this date.
