Westfield

8:23 a.m.: downed lines, Pontoosic Road, a patrol officer reports that wires fell on his cruiser while he was driving, the officer reports that it was a fiber optic line and that Whip City Fiber would resolve the issue later in the day;

6:14 p.m.: vandalism, Jefferson Street, a caller reports that a male party known to him threw a rock at his car and began creating a disturbance and beeping his horn as he left, the responding officer reports that the male party was advised to stay away from the caller;

7:22 p.m.: electrical hazard, Cardinal Lane, a caller reports that a power line is smoldering but not producing smoke or an active fire, dispatch reports that Westfield Gas and Electric was informed that branches had fallen on the lines, the responding firefighters report that the branches were removed from the line;

8:08 p.m.: fireworks, Sandy Hill Road, a caller reports that she heard what sounded like four or five gunshots, the responding officer reports that it was later discovered to have been fireworks being set off in the area;

9:17 p.m.: suspicious, Wild Flower Circle, a caller reports that she saw a group of male youths walking in the roadway and smashing bottles, the responding officer reports that a group of youths matching the description given by the caller fled into the woods when he pulled up in his cruiser, the officer reports that he was unable to locate the youths.

Southwick

5:52 p.m.: disabled motor vehicle, Feeding Hills Road, an officer reports that a motor vehicle is operating with a flat tire, the officer reports that a tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle and the operator was transported to their residence.
