1:13 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports that they have pulled over a vehicle that struck a traffic light, the officer reports that the traffic light is knocked over and wires are exposed, the officer reports that they have arrested Eric T. Miller, 28, of 349 Steiger Drive, Westfield, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, not being in possession of motor vehicle registration, marked lanes violation, and a miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation;
10:55 p.m.: breaking and entering, Pontoosic Road, a caller reports that his house may have been broken into, the caller reports that they had left the house for two hours and that as they were leaving he spotted a man in the woods near the house, the caller reports that after they had been back home for two hours they began to feel cold in the house, on further investigation it was discovered that a door downstairs was open and glass was shattered, the responding officer reports that there is evidence of a break-in but there does not appear to have been anything taken;
