Major crime and incident report

1:11 a.m.: suspicious activity, Sandy Hill Road, a caller reports security lights were activated at a water treatment facility, a responding officer reports a person was seen running from the facility, five officers joined a search for the suspect who was not found, a check of the facility did not reveal that anything had been disturbed;
11:07 a.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a caller from an East Main Street supermarket reports the theft of used cooking grease stored outside, an incident report was filed;
5:24 p.m.: recovered property, Washington Street, a resident came to the station to take control of her vehicle which had been stolen and recovered Thursday, an incident report was filed for a registration plate which had been on the vehicle but was not recovered.

8:52 a.m.: general services, College Highway, a caller reports that an eatery/convenience store on College Highway is serving sit-down diners.

9:10 a.m.: animal complaint, Shaggbark Drive, a resident reports an unleashed dog ran at her.

3:15 p.m.: motor vehicle complaint, College Highway, a caller reports she was “chased” into a parking lot by a male and female in a green Mazda and gave the plate number to police, the plate number was not registered to that vehicle and a Be on the Look Out was sent to area police.

6:57 p.m.: assist other police, Congamond Road, Southwick police assisted Suffield police with an accident where a vehicle struck a guardrail in that town, turned around and went to Southwick, there was no visible damage and the vehicle was not located.

9:13 p.m.: officer wanted, College Highway, the owner of a stable reports allowing an employee to stay overnight and the man locked himself in the bathroom and refused to come out, he was given a courtesy transport and later admitted to police he had used drugs.
