Major crime and incident report

8:50 a.m.: animal complaint, Foch Avenue, a caller reports that he observed a loose brown and white pitbull mix with a green and white collar on Foch Avenue, the responding animal control officer reports that no loose dog could be located in the area;
4:30 p.m.: animal complaint, Fowler Avenue, a caller reports that there is a possibly rabid raccoon wandering through her year, the caller reports that the raccoon is staggering and seems overly comfortable walking up to people, the responding animal control officer reports that witnessed said that the raccoon wandered off into the woods;
7:23 p.m.: suspicious, Orange Street, a caller reports that he was standing outside waiting for a pizza delivery when a male party approached and attempted to take the pizza from the delivery driver, claiming it was his, the caller reports that they were able to get the pizza but the male party left the area, the responding officer reports that an area search turned up negative;
8:05 p.m.: vandalism, East Silver Street, a caller reports that his vehicle’s windshield was struck by an egg that had been thrown from the bike trail bridge, the responding officer reports that an area search turned up negative, but that a nearby grocery store confirmed that a group of youths comes in every day to purchase eggs and that their pictures would be sent out to officers to keep a lookout;
9:29 p.m.: officer wanted, Main Street, a caller reports that he was in a Main Street parking lot when a group of youths threw a metal sign towards his vehicle and nearly hit it, the responding officer reports that he made contact with the youths who denied throwing the sign, the officer reports that the guardians of each of the youths came and took custody of them.
10:12 a.m.: officer wanted, Depot Street, a resident reports being a victim of a scam and lost monies;
12:32 p.m.: officer wanted, Depot Street Rail Trail, a person found a backpack and sneakers, an officer reports the items were clearly discarded and took them to the station’
3:17 p.m.: officer wanted, Fred Jackson Road, a resident reports a neighbor is cutting a limb off a tree that he believed was on his property, a responding officer reports the tree was on the property of the person cutting the limbs;
6:52 p.m.: fire, Overlook Lane, debris on a construction site was being burned;
7:30 p.m.: fire, Cottage Street, the fire department responded to a call for a fire and discovered a homeowner had a camp/cooking fire.
