WESTFIELD
12:00 p.m.: animal complaint, Sackett Street, a Hampden County Sheriff’s officer reports that she found a long haired black cat in the middle of sackett street and was able to capture it and bring it to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter;
12:07 p.m.: accident, Franklin Street, a caller reports that a motor vehicle struck a telephone pole and the pole is now leaning against a house, dispatch reports that Westfield Gas & Electric was notified and would respond to fix the pole;
11:49 p.m.: traffic/motor vehicle complaint, Eastwood Drive, a caller reports that a group of about 10 youths is in the middle of the road causing a traffic hazard, the responding officer reports that he spoke to a homeowner who said that there was a graduation party, the officer reports that the homeowner was advised of the complaint and was also advised to move some of the youth’s vehicles as they are parked in a way that blocks emergency vehicles.
SOUTHWICK
7:44 a.m.: suspicious vehicle, North Loomis Street, a resident reports a young male with a clip board knocked on the door then headed toward Granville Road;
10:12 a.m.: accident, College Highway, a motorist backed out of a parking spot and struck the front end of another vehicle, the reporting party was an observer and not involved in the accident;
11:34 a.m.: officer wanted, Point Grove Road, a person was stranded and lost their phone, an officer offered a courtesy transport;
1:47 p.m.: animal complaint, Honey Pot Road, a loose pitbull was reported;
4:11 a.m.: suspicious person, Jered Lane, a solicitor for educational materials was knocking on doors, Town Hall confirmed the man was not registered to solicit that day.
