12:19 a.m.: disturbance,, Elm Street, a caller from an Elm Street bar requests assistance with a disturbance, the responding officer reports the management pointed out a person who was creating a disturbance and asked that the man be served a ‘No trespassing’ order, the order was served and the man reluctantly departed;
10:02 a.m.: downed utility wires, Lynnwood Drive, a caller reports a tractor trailer unit struck low hanging wires and pulled them into the roadway, the responding office reports that the truck was stopped on Southampton Road and insurance information was documented, the officer reports a utility pole is leaning and several houses lost power, the G&E was notified;
10:45 a.m.: animal complaint, Foch Avenue, a caller reports she has taken custody of a stray cat which was trying to enter her home, the responding animal control officer reports the cat was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
11:15 a.m.: weather complaint, Granville Road, a caller reports tree fell and took down wires, the DPW was notified, the responding officer reports a large pine tree branch was blocking the entire roadway before it was removed;
4:16 p.m.: found property, Oakdale Avenue, a patrols officer reports he encountered a person who located a bicycle, the bike was transported to the station for safe keeping;
5:17 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports a shoplifter has been detained in the store, the responding officer reports Rose M. Ortiz, 29, of 5 Warner St., South Hadley, was arrested for shoplifting by asportation;
5:40 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Union Street at Columbia place, a detective reports he observed a person known to have a revoked license operating a motor vehicle, Dmitro O. Barynov, 33, of 57 E. Silver St., Westfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as an habitual traffic offender;
10:44 p.m.: disturbance, Yale Street, a caller reports a known person kicked out the screening of his front door to enter his residence, the responding officer reports he found that the resident has allowed the woman in question to stay in his apartment for the past two months, the tenant was advised not to let the woman whose name is not on the lease stay there;
11:35 p.m.: city ordinance violation, Main Street, the community policing supervisor reports officers dispersed a college aged party before it started.
