12:54 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Court Street, a radar enforcement officer reports he observed a car traveling at 45 mph in a 30 mph zone illegally pass another vehicle and stopped it, the officer reports he observed an open container of alcohol in the car and found that the operator’s license had been suspended, Anthony Rashaun Domino, 20, of 124 Hamburg St., Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, speeding in violation of special regulations, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation;
10:06 a.m.: fraud, Robinson Drive, a resident came to the station to complain that unauthorized withdrawals had been made from her bank account, the responding officer reports the victim said that identical unauthorized withdrawals had been made on two successive days, the account was closed and an incident report was filed;
10:39 a.m.: larceny, Main Street, a Springfield resident came to the station to report her cell phone has been stolen, the responding officer reports the victim said that she last knew she had the phone while at a Main Street bus stop the day before, the woman told the officer that she had used a tracking application which indicated it was at a Jefferson Street address but when he called that address the woman who answered said she had not found a phone and hung up, the case was referred to the detective bureau where an investigator reports he spoke with the Jefferson Street resident who surrendered the phone saying that she had found on her front lawn;
11:05 a.m.: animal complaint, Loomis Street, a caller report that she has taken custody of a stray dog, the responding animal control officer reports a female beagle dog wearing an orange collar was transported to the municipal animal shelter;
11:22 a.m.: larceny Main Street, a resident came to the station to report that his cell phone was stolen, the responding officer reports the victim said that he left his phone on a counter at a drug store and it was gone when he returned to find it, the case was referred to the detective bureau;
3:15 p.m.: accident, Russell Road, multiple callers report a car struck a tree, dual response dispatched, the responding officer reports the car was wedged between two trees and requests a second ambulance, one patient was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital and a second was taken to Baystate Medical Center, the car was towed to the police impound yard;
11:12 p.m.: liquor law violation, Main Street, community policing officers report a minor found to be in possession of liquor was issued a city ordinance violation citation.
