1:58 a.m.: Accident, hit and run, Summer Street and Arnold Street. Police were driving through the area and found that a stop sign had been damaged, but that no damage was witnessed.
6:43 a.m.: Accident, Franklin Street and Elm Street. Police received a report for a two-vehicle crash involving a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country and a 2005 Chevrolet car. No injuries or airbags reported and no tows were requested.
8:06 a.m.: Accident, hit and run, Pleasant Street and West Silver Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2000 Chrysler Voyager and a 2012 BMW 128I. One vehicle struck the other from behind and then left the scene of the crash. The vehicle was followed for a short time by the vehicle that was struck but it got away. Police were able to track the driver however, and confronted them at their place of business. The person claimed they did not want to get insurance involved and that the damage was minor. Police reported that they cited that person and wrote a crash report.
10:33 a.m.: Shoplifting, Pleasant Street. Police received a report from an employee at a store and claimed that a woman came in and stole a $14.99 bag of tobacco. Police were given a license plate and description but police were unable to locate the suspect at the time of the report.
5:23 p.m.: Arrest, Main Street. Police reported that they arrested Antonio Gonzales, 37, of Westfield, on a warrant.
