Major crime and incident report
Tuesday, July 21, 2015
9:01 a.m.: suspicious, King Street, caller reported seeing a toddler wandering alone; child safely returned home;
12:30 p.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Bank, 26 Arnold St., caller reported seeing a man dragging a dog by the feet down the roadway; police viewed surveillance video (from bank) and determined man had dog improperly harnessed; dog officer to visit resident regarding proper harnessing;
12:48 p.m.: one-vehicle accident, Wendy’s, 6 Southampton Road, driver refused transport, vehicle towed;
1:44 p.m.: assist other agency, Noble Hospital, West Silver Street, patient being discharged; Toby E. Erickson, 46, of 100 Aster, Greenfield, arrested on outstanding warrant out of Greenfield District Court;
3:32 p.m.: two-vehicle accident, 139 Springdale Road at 198 Holyoke Road, one driver and several passengers transported to Noble Hospital; 2011 Honda Accord and 2015 Honda SW towed from scene;
8:02 p.m.: fraud, Noble Street, resident reported checking account may have been hacked since there are numerous unknown transactions;
10:44 p.m.: two-vehicle accident, 34 N. Elm St. at 31 Pochassic St., both drivers transported to Noble Hospital; 2007 Hyundai and 2001 Dodge Ram Truck towed from scene; a driver and witness reported traffic lights not functioning properly, Westfield Gas & Electric called.
