Major crime and incident report

2:15 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Park Square. Police received a walk-in report of a white tractor trailer truck that crashed into three ballards at Park Square while turning. The police were given additional description of the vehicle, as well as a plate number, but did not receive the state that the plate is from. Police notified Department of Public Works and located the vehicle.
5:37 p.m.: Suspicious person, Union Street. Police received a report of a man walking down the street with a hand truck and a safe on it, causing a disturbance, including blocking traffic. Police investigated and arrested Christopher J. Dreher, 26, of Westfield, on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
8:18 p.m.: Medical emergency, Maple Street and Margerie Street. Police received a report of a male who fell off of his bike and had injuries to his knees. A Westfield Fire ambulance arrived and requested that police come to secure the bike of the injured man. The man was then brought to Baystate Noble Hospital.
