Major crime and incident report
Monday, July 6, 2015
10:42 a.m.: larceny, L&B Freightliner, 910 Southampton Road, money missing from cash register during past three weeks, totaling $600-700;
12:08 p.m.: vandalism motor vehicle, Collins St., tears and cuts found on front passenger seat of complainant’s son’s Crown Victoria;
12:20 p.m.: two-vehicle accident, 1110 E. Mountain Road, no injuries, 2002 Ford and 2009 Toyota Prius towed from scene;
1:48 p.m.: two-vehicle accident, 28 N. Elm St. at 31 Pochassic St., no injuries, report taken;
3:15 p.m.: animal complaint, Court St., dog barking for past week, services rendered;
3:55 p.m.: animal complaint, Orange St., terrier brought to animal shelter;
5:00 p.m.: animal complaint, Union St., dog found covered in maggots and had extremely long nails from what appeared to be prolonged neglect; owner instructed to take dog to VCA Boston Road or be arrested for animal cruelty; dog was taken to vet;
5:17 p.m.: identity fraud, Hillside Road, Comcast account had been opened in child’s name and account was in collections;
7:21 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Charm Auto Sales, 766 Southampton Road, driver stopped for speeding and after stopped, smoke billowed out of car, which was from marijuana; Alejandro Monet, 20, of 95 Linden St., Holyoke, arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, person under 21 possessing liquor, negligent operation of motor vehicle, speeding in violation of special regulation and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle;
11:37 p.m.: vandalism motor vehicle, vicinity of Froggy’s Saloon, car egged; services rendered.
