3:56 a.m.: Motor vehicle accident, railroad tracks on Pochassic Road. Police received a report for a disabled motor vehicle that was on the railroad tracks on Pochassic Road. Police were able to locate the vehicle and its operator off the railroad tracks about 30 feet into the woods. Police reported that the vehicle was pushed off the tracks after the train bumped into its front bumper. There were no injuries.

12:15 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, North Elm Street. Police received a report of a minor two-car accident involving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer and a 2000 Nissan Altima. No injuries or airbag deployment were reported, and the vehicles did not need a tow.

1:15 p.m.: Fraud, walk-in. Police received a report from a walk-in party that their credit card was defrauded. It is currently under investigation.

3:09 p.m.: Larceny, Court Street. Police received a report of a theft of several flower pots and plants that were in them. Additionally, they received reports of damage to some items in the area. Police were told by the victim that this occurred around the same time last year. No additional information available at the time of the report.

7:38 p.m.: Suspicious person and arrest, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Broad Street. Police received a report from someone who said that there was a suspicious person hiding behind garbage cans at the church. The person reported that they saw someone peer out from behind the garbage cans when they pulled up, and then did not move after. Police arrived and arrested Jason J. Bickford, 36, of Westfield, on three active warrants not related to the incident.
