1:33 a.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, East Main Street. Police reported that they arrested Jose L. Torres, 32, of Springfield, after stopping his vehicle and finding cocaine on him. Police reported that Torres was driving a vehicle in the breakdown lane with his hazards on, at 5 MPH. After police pulled him over and questioned him, they reportedly found cocaine on him. Police charged Torres with forged RMV documents, possession of a class B substance (cocaine), number plate violation, no inspection/sticker, as well as an uninsured and unregistered motor vehicle. 2:27 a.m.: Hit-and-run accident, North Elm Street. According to police, in a parking lot of an establishment on North Elm Street, a hit-and-run accident occurred. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made at the time of the report.
9:24 p.m.: Larceny, walk-in at the Westfield Police Department. According to a victim, while at a store they said that their wallet was stolen. The police had no suspects or arrests at the time of the report.
