Major crime and incident report
1:58 a.m.: Breaking and entering motor vehicle, North Elm Street. Police reported that a person flagged them down and reported that a checkbook was allegedly stolen from their vehicle. Police did not find any missing checkbook in the area.
10:49 a.m.: Accident, Elm Street and Orange Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2013 Toyota Tundra and a 2004 Honda Accord. No injuries were reported and no tow trucks were requested.
12:05 p.m.: Accident, Southwick Road and Hundred Acres Road. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2017 Kia Sportage and a 2002 Toyota Avalon. One person was reported injured and was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and personnel. No tow trucks were requested.
7:27 p.m.: Suspicious, North Elm Street. Police received a report for two people who appeared to be “under the influence of something,” according to the caller. Police reported that they arrested one of the parties, Craig W. McEwan, 34, of Berkley, Massachusetts, on a warrant.
