12:48 a.m.:
motor vehicle violation, arrest, North Elm Street, patrol officer observed a vehicle being operated without headlight and stopped vehicle, officer also observed, after the vehicle stopped, that the safety equipment inspection sticker was invalid, Laura A. Hall, 39, of 6 Kellogg St., charged with operating a motor vehicle after suspension of her license, giving a false name to a police officer, operating a motor vehicle without headlights and operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker, vehicle towed from scene;
8:18 a.m.: motor vehicle accident with injury, dual police and fire response, Union Street near intersection of Springfield Road, Engine 4 and an ambulance were initially dispatched, fire captain requesting second ambulance, callers report head-on collision between a motor vehicle and a school bus, callers also report a second motor vehicle involved, officer reports no passengers were on the school bus which was travelling west on Union Street, a motor vehicle coming off Springfield Road into the eastbound lane of Union Street lost control and crossed over the double yellow lines, making contact with the front of the bus, that vehicle was knocked backwards into another eastbound vehicle, both the bus driver and the operator of the vehicle which struck the bus were transported to the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield;
11:31 p.m.: larceny, 199 Servistar Industrial Way, caller reports that a former employee is attempting to use company account to purchase copper wire, officer reports that the transaction was declined, so there was no criminal activity, services rendered;
1:54 p.m.: larceny, ACT Vehicle Equipment, 946 Southampton Road, caller reports theft of four hydraulic plow pumps, theft occurred between June 5 and June 11, officer reports specialized tools needed to remove hydraulic pumps, under investigation;
2:11 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, Southwick Road, Shell Station, dual police and fire response, two fire engines and an ambulance sent to the scene, employees reports a person drove a car through the front window of the station, officer reports no injuries to operator of a 2015 Chevrolet or persons inside the store which includes both Dunkin Donuts and Subway outlets as well as a convenience store, officer reports vehicle towed from scene, Building Department dispatched an inspector to determine of any structural damage occurred to building;
4:58 p.m.: motor vehicle accident with injury, dual police and fire response, intersection of Main and Mechanic streets, officer reports a vehicle travelling east on Main Street attempted to make a left turn and entered the path of a vehicle travelling west on Main Street, operator of the westbound vehicle transported by ambulance to Noble Hospital, both vehicle towed from scene,;
5:38 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, intersection of Holyoke and Springdale Road, officer reports vehicle operating south on Springdale Road attempted to cross the intersection and came into contact with a vehicle travelling west on Holyoke Road, both vehicles towed;
6:39 p.m.: property found, Pride station, 234 East Main Street, citizen came to station with a wallet he found on ground, officer reports attempting to locate owner of lost wallet, Giovan E. Colon, who does not appear to be a local resident, no contact information of address found in wallet;
10:06 p.m.: vandalism to a motor vehicle, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 441 E. Main St., citizen came to station to report that her ex-boyfriend ripped both side-view mirrors off her vehicle after she poured a milkshake on his vehicle, officer reports filing a criminal complaint against the ex-boyfriend for willful and malicious damage to private property;
11: 08 p.m.: disturbance, 85 Orange St., caller reports yelling and screaming, officer reports college-aged subject moved into residence that day and were celebrating that fact, advised that they would be issued citation for city ordnance if the officers had to response again, which occurred at 12:50 a.m. Friday morning, three citations issued to three new residents of the city.
