1:46 a.m.:Recovered stolen motor vehicle, North Road. Police reported that while performing a routine check of an area an officer came across a possibly stolen vehicle. The vehicle was unoccupied. It was reported stolen by Springfield Police Department.

8:49 a.m.: Breaking and entering motor vehicle, New Broadway. Police received a report from a person who claimed that their vehicle was entered sometime overnight and items were allegedly taken. The vehicle was reportedly unlocked.

9:45 a.m.: Breaking and entering motor vehicle, New Broadway. Police received a report of two other vehicles allegedly entered sometime overnight. These two were reportedly “ransacked” and two pairs of sunglasses were reported stolen.

2:25 p.m.: Larceny, Stop and Shop, Main Street. Police received a report of male who had reportedly shoplifted groceries. According to police, when employees attempted to stop the male, he allegedly threatened them. The suspect had reportedly left in a vehicle and the license plate number was given to police. Police reported $482 worth of groceries were reported stolen. Police are investigating.

6:04 p.m.: Breaking and entering motor vehicle, Old County Road. Police reported another vehicle broken into. No further information was provided, however.

7:56 p.m.: Animal complaint, Montgomery Road. Police received a report of a cat that was reportedly sliced open, according to the cat’s owner. The cat’s owner reported that they believe they know who had committed the incident and they had allegedly left the residence. Police reported that the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) is investigating.
