Major Crime and incident report
Wednesday, June 3, 2015
1:55 a.m.: suspicious activity, 15 Washington St., officer observed a youth wearing a backpack loitering in front of police headquarters, officer identified the youth as a 13 year-old boy, youth transported home to parents;
7:54 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Brookline Avenue, caller reports neighbors have moved out of their residence and have abandoned property on the treebelt, Health and Department of Public Works notified to remove items, officer attempting to locate family who abandoned property;
8:48 a.m.: truancy, Notre Dame Street, caller reports youth refusing to go to school, officer reports youth transported to school, services rendered;
2:07 p.m.: animal complaint, White Street, caller reports young deer in garage, officer reports deer got into basement of residence, officer requesting assistance of animal control officer, ACO reports fawn ran out onto Main Street, ACO reports fawn made it into a wooded area safely;
2:08 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, Springfield Road, caller reports two-vehicle collision, officer reports no injuries, eastbound vehicle attempted to make a left turn into the U Haul store lot and entered the path of a westbound vehicle;
3:53 p.m.: motor vehicle accident, Elm Street at the intersection of Arnold Street, officer reports northbound vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Arnold Street and entered the path of a southbound vehicle, both vehicle were towed from the scene;
4:38 p.m.: motor vehicle/bicycle collision, King Street at intersection of High Street, officer reports motorist traveling north on High Street, stopped sat the stop sign, then proceeded to make a right turn onto King Street, bicyclist was traveling west on King Street and attempted to make a left turn onto High Street when the two collided, the bicyclist struck the driver’s side of the automobile, officer requested an ambulance to transport the bicyclist who sustained abrasions to his hand and head, ambulance transported bicyclist to Noble Hospital;
7:44 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, citizen came to station to report theft of a registration plate, information entered in the Registry of Motor Vehicle data base;
9:53 p.m.: property found, Park Square, citizen came to station to turn in a wallet, officer reports attempting to locate the owner of the wallet.
