Major crime and incident report

2:31 p.m.: Shoplifting, 141 Springfield Road, Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart security reported to police that a male suspect had removed security tags off of two items in the store. While in the store, the suspect had concealed the items in the waist of his pants, then started running toward a set of railroad tracks near the store. Police requested that all train traffic be stopped and searched for the suspect, but he was not found. No arrests made.
3:40 p.m.: Identity fraud, walk-in. Police had someone walk into the station and claim that there were several withdrawals from their account that were unauthorized. Police reported that the withdrawals happened over a period of time. No arrests at the time of the report.
3:59 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, Main Street. Police reported a three-car accident involving a 2015 Subaru Forester, 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser and a 2003 Subaru Forester. There were no injuries reported, no airbags deployed and all the vehicles were able to move to an adjacent parking lot following the crash.
5 p.m.: Larceny, North Elm Street. A person reported to police that their bicycle was stolen about one week prior from a lock and chain. While going to a business on North Elm Street, the person told police that he believes he found the bike and was requesting an officer.
5:59 p.m.: Motor vehicle theft, walk-in. Police received a walk-in complaint about a dirt bike that was stolen from a home. According to the victim, the bike was under a tarp and parked at home when it happened. No arrest at the time of the report.
