8:38 a.m.: Accident, hit-and-run, Parker Avenue. Police received a report of a possible hit-and-run accident involving a parked car on Parker Avenue. Police were looking for the vehicle and according to police, the vehicle that fled the scene returned.
10:54 a.m.: Shoplifting, Walmart, Springfield Road. Police responded to Walmart for a report of two male shoplifters that were in custody. While police were investigating, they reported that Amika Blake, 19, of Springfield, had allegedly given a false name. Police arrested Blake and charged him with shoplifting $100+ by asportation and obstruction of justice, interference.
9:47 p.m.: Accident, Rite Aid, East Silver Street. Police reported that a 2008 Hyundai Elantra had crashed into the side of the Rite Aid. There were no injuries reported and police also reported no damage to the building. According to police, the driver’s foot slipped off the brake.
