2:17 a.m.: shoplifting, Walmart, 141 Springfield Road, loss prevention employee reported that two women were attempting to shoplift at least $100 or more worth of product;
8:06 a.m.: larceny, Camfour, Inc., 65 Westfield Industrial Park Road, employee reported missing Bushmaster rifle, which may have been mistakenly taken from the building by a shipping company without a shipping label;
10:11 a.m.: assault, Southwood Acres, 342 Southwick Road, neighbor assaulted two of his neighbors and their dog with a hammer; See full and continuing coverage in The Westfield News;
2:52 p.m.: accident, 21 E. Bartlett St., minor property damage;
5:06 p.m.: accident, Aaron’s Store, 64 Main St., 2006 Pontiac Vibe and 2015 Subaru Outback, no injuries, no tows;
10:45 p.m.: open line 911, General Shepard Apartments, 25 Thomas St., medical call, patient transported to Baystate Noble Hospital.
