6:54 a.m.: Larceny, Union Street. Police received a report for a Honda Accord that had rims that were stolen off of it. According to police, this occurred sometime overnight. Police are investigating and could not note if this was related to a similar incident that reportedly occurred Friday, March 3.

9:00 a.m.: Disturbance and arrest, Main Street. Police received a report for two unwanted guests at an apartment on Main Street. According to the police log, police reported that while they were leaving a male was allegedly hiding upstairs in a closet and had a weapon on him. Police reported that one male party, Aaron Reye Jenkins, 26, of Springfield, was found in a closet but without any weapon. Police arrested Jenkins on six total warrants that were reportedly out for his arrest. Additionally, police reported that they escorted five total parties from the property.

4:24 p.m.: Larceny, Stop and Shop, Main Street. Police received a report of a male who had allegedly taken a wallet out of a purse in the parking lot of Stop and Shop, and then fled the scene. Police had a description and were looking in the area. Police also received a report while on scene of a vehicle that was allegedly gone through but nothing was reported missing. Later in the evening, police reported that they arrested Yevgeniy Y. Babinov, 26, of Westfield, in relation to the alleged larceny and charged him with larceny from a person.

7:29 p.m.: Shoplifting attempt, Stop and Shop, Main Street. Police received a report for an alleged attempted shoplifting. According to the police log, police received a report from security that someone attempted to “shoplift $600 worth of product” but security was able to get the products back. However, the suspect reportedly left on foot from the scene. Police were told that this occurred 20 to 30 minutes prior. Police are investigating.

9:05 p.m.: Robbery/home invasion, Summer Street. Police received a report of an alleged home invasion that occurred at a residence on Summer Street. According to the police log, someone came to the alleged victim’s door and said someone was doing something to their truck. When the alleged victim opened the door, two men with ski masks allegedly came in showing handguns and allegedly stole $15,000 from the victim. The two suspects reportedly left the house and went in an unknown direction and unknown if it was on foot or via vehicle. Police reported that they had a “full response” to the scene, including K9 unit and officers with AR15s. Police reportedly located a possible suspect but let that person go after the victim did not ID them as a suspect. No arrests made at the time of this report but police are investigating.

11:41 p.m.: Disturbance, college-related. Police received a report of a large college party at a home that was allegedly spilling into the street. Police arrived and broke the party up. In the process, police arrested Tyler Robbins, 20, of San Jose, and charged him with disturbing the peace, person under 21 possessing liquor and person under 21 procuring liquor.
