2:29 a.m.: Accident, Western Avenue. Police received a report of a vehicle that collided with a telephone pole. The police reported that the accident occurred due to texting while driving, and no injuries were reported.
3:37 p.m.: Accident, Union Street. Police receieved a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2013 Honda CRV and a bus. Police reported that two people were transported from the scene to Baystate Noble Hospital by Westfield Fire ambulance, and one vehicle was towed.
4:39 p.m.: Larceny, Provin Terrace. Police received a report of a license plate stolen. No further information provided.
7:44 p.m.: Assault, East Main Street. Police received a report of a person who alleged that they were assaulted by another driver and “punched in the face.” Police reported that it was a “road rage” incident and an altercation occurred. Charges were pending following the report.
8:03 p.m.: Accident, Ridgecrest Drive. Police received a report of a car that collided with a telephone pole. Police reported that power was also temporarily taken out in the area. Police reported that the driver had allegedly “hydroplaned into the tree.” One person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and the vehicle was towed.
