7:17 a.m.: Accident, Montgomery Street and Edgewood Street. Police received a report of an initial multi-vehicle crash at the location. While traffic was backed up, according to police a second collision occurred, creating three-vehicle and four-vehicle crashes. A total of four vehicles were towed from the scene and one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via Westfield Fire ambulance and paramedics for treatment.
1:44 p.m.: Accident, Court Street and Elm Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2012 Chevrolet Impala and a 2010 Hyundai Sonata. No injuries were reported and no tow trucks requested.
8:51 p.m. Suspicious person and arrest, Frederick Street. Police received a report of a man who was allegedly “robbed” by another person. The caller reported that the man left the scene. Police arrived at the scene and found that a vehicle was actually entered and “change was stolen,” but a person was not physically robbed, according to police. Police found Savuth Vith, 28, of Westfield, and arrested him and charged him with breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat at night and larceny under $250.
