11:02 a.m.: Shoplifting, Wal-Mart, Springfield Road. Police received a report from Wal-Mart security of an individual allegedly attempting to walk out with a television. The individual was detained by Wal-Mart security. Police arrested Henry Mercado, 37 of Springfield, and charged him with shoplifting $100+ by asportation.
1:40 p.m.: Accident, North Elm Street. Police received a report of a two-vehicle accident involving a 2005 Nissan Maxima and a 2016 Honda CRV. No injuries were reported and no tow-trucks were requested.
3:59 p.m.: Accident, Elm Street. Police received multiple reports of a child who was struck by a vehicle. According to police, the child “broke away” from their parent’s grasp and ran into the street.
