10:01 a.m.: Accident, North Elm St. and Notre Dame St. An accident involving a 2011 Chevrolet truck and a 2011 Hyundai Elantra happened at the intersection where road work is ongoing. One of the drivers also had a suspended driver’s license. No injuries were reported.

10:03 a.m.: Larceny, Free St. A man reported his bicycle was stolen outside of an address on Free St. He described two suspects but did not see them take the bicycle or where they went. According to the victim, left behind was a girl’s bike. No arrests made.

2:32 p.m.: Hit-and-run accident and arrest, Springfield Road. Roman Shtyba, 24, of 111 Miller St., was arrested following a hit-and-run accident on Springfield Road. Shytba was seen operating a 2007 Honda Odyssey and witnesses told police that he rear-ended another vehicle, then proceeded to drive away from the scene. Police found Shtyba on Main St., and placed him under arrest due to an outstanding warrant, and also charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, leaving the scene of property damage and following a vehicle too close.

2:50 p.m.: Breaking and entering, Prospect St. Extension. Police were told about a possible breaking and entering into a vehicle on Prospect St. Extension. Several items were missing from the vehicle. No arrests were made at the time.

6:53 p.m.: Shoplifting and arrest, 1 East Silver St., Big Y. Jason W. Savage, 39, of 15 Maple St., was arrested after being accused of shoplifting $20 worth of items from Big Y. According to a manager at the store, the items were recovered and that Savage had left a backpack behind. The backpack had identification for Savage inside it. Police arrested Savage on an active warrant, in addition to shoplifting by asportation.

9:40 p.m.: Accident and arrests, North Elm St. Police responded to a car accident involving a 2015 Honda Civic. While tending to the accident, police arrested the operator, Jami Harrington, 25, of 149 Granville Road, and passenger Patrick Hubbard, 27, of 156 Sackett Road, after both were found to have outstanding warrants for their arrests.
