1:31 a.m.: Breaking and entering into a vehicle, 1152 Southampton Road, 7 B’s Bar. A woman reported that her vehicle was broken into while working. According to the report, the passenger side window was broken and the victim’s wallet was taken. There are no suspects at the time of the report.

7:07 a.m.: Officer requested, Otis St. Woman reported to police that there was a child swimming in her pool, unattended. The woman reported to police that she was not familiar with the child. No other information was available.

1:28 p.m.: Vandalism of a motor vehicle, King Ave. According to police, a woman reported that her vehicle was vandalized and she suspects that she knows who has done it. She reported this as an ongoing issue. No arrests made.

4:18 p.m.: Motor vehicle theft, Union St. Woman reported her vehicle was missing from her apartment. She did not notice any activity related to it going missing. Police alerted other services, and the vehicle was found by Springfield Police on May 30.

8:03 p.m.: Shoplifting, 141 Springfield Road, Wal-Mart. Christopher Gauthier, 31, of 851 Main St. in Holyoke, and Mary Mallette, 22, of 14 Blake St. in Springfield, were arrested and each charged with larceny over $250 after they reportedly filled plastic totes with items at Wal-Mart and attempted not to pay. Police reported that the pair attempted to steal about $1,800 worth of merchandise.

10:04 p.m.: Vandalism, Birch Bluffs Dr. According to report, a man said that someone attempted to break into his vehicle. He reported that the window was smashed and that there was also a dent in the side of the car. However, nothing was missing from the vehicle. No arrests were made at the time of the report.
